You have a few options for adding family members. If you use the Chrome browser you can add the WikiTree Extension to copy a profile from another site and add it to WikiTree. You can also check out the GEDCOM help page.
For photos: To add a picture to a specific profile click on "Images" instead of edit. There is a link for "Click here to upload it." If you want to add general family images but don't want them on your protected profile, you can start a Space Page. This Help Page shows you how to add that space as well as using the picture on another profile.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you still have questions. And, we're glad to have you here on WikiTree!
Jenny, you are all set as a confirmed member of WikiTree now. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.
Check out the New Member How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.
If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know. You can use the "reply" link under this comment or click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Thank you Debi. I have never joined an organization like this before. I’ve always enjoyed researching. It started with my mother’s request to find out more about the family. Now that I am retired, I can do that. I have so much more information to provide. I’m also looking forward to the merges with related families. Again, thank you. I’m glad to be a member of WikiTree!
Cheryl is not on duty right now but hopefully I can answer your question. There is no waiting time to join. Right now you are a Guest Member and can participate in the Genealogist-to-Genealogist (G2G) Forum and edit your own profile. Guest Members cannot create or edit other profiles but they can add comments to profiles. They can upload GEDCOMs to take advantage of GEDCOMpare as a search tool but cannot create or edit profiles with it.
To be able to add more names you will need to volunteer, you can do this from your Navigation page, just add tags showing your genealogical interests e.g. surnames you are researching, and in the comments box by them add the location/relationship to you, then check the volunteer box and we will then be able to confirm you as a member.
Volunteering means you will help us achieve our goal of joining all individual family trees into one global family tree.
If you have privacy concerns, you can set your privacy level to show only the information you are happy for other people to see, the highest setting for an active WikiTree-er is the red setting, it shows the decade you were born and very little else.
Due to new privacy laws that came out in May 2018.
Any profiles you create for people who are still living and are not active on WT will have their privacy level automatically set to "unlisted" status, so the only people who will be able to see their information will be you and anyone you add to a trusted list for that profile. Profiles for people who were born over 150 years ago and people who died over 100 years ago must be open profiles.
We have the 2 step joining process so we can make sure everyone who joins is here for genealogy and that they are old enough to be a member, also it stops spammers from before they can be a nuisance to members
I hope this helps, any problems, please let me know.

Can you email me with details about that WikiTreeX extension not working with Chrome? I hope we can find out what's wrong!
