Branchie was born about 1883 in Texas. She was the daughter of Charlie Lewis.
Branchie married Glasgow Tolbert in 1901 in Burleson County, Texas. They raised a large family in Burleson County where they farmed.
Branchie passed away in 1957 in Chriesman, Burleson County and was buried in Rowland Cemetery in Caldwell, Texas.
