On 16 March 1866 Elizabeth Mary Lewis was born to Emma Frances Wheeler and Robert Lewis. [1]

On 2 March 1891 Elizabeth Mary Lewis and Henry Kenton were married. [2]

On 30 December 1938 Elizabeth Mary Kenton passed away, aged 74. [7]

KENTON. —On December 30. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. F. O. Green, 42 Lawrence Street, Herne Bay, Elizabeth Mary, wife of the late Henry Kenton, of Port Chalmers; aged 74 years. Service set 42 Lawrence Street. Herne Bay, 2.30 p.m. to-day (Saturday). Interment at Port Chalmers later.

Curiously, her Dunedin City Council burial record had her death date as 14 Jan 1939 and burial 16 Jan 1939. This was in error, considering the date of her death notice in December.[9]
