Katherine, daughter of Thomas Lewknor and Katherine Pelham, married Richard Knatchbull.^[1]

Research Notes

Estimated Birth: about 1470 is based on her parents' marriage before 1469, Richardson listing daughters Katherine and Sibyl (with Katherine first),^[1] and the profiles for her siblings Roger and Sibyl showing birth years of 1469 and 1471, respectively.

Possible Husband: Could her husband (or perhaps father-in-law) be the Richard Knatchbull, Esq., said to have purchased Mersham Hatch in 1486? (See Knatchbull-19#Lineage.) I think more likely her father-in-law, since the purchaser of Mersham Hatch is said to have had a son Richard who died in 1523 (given the life expectancy of the time, this would put him about the same age as Catherine).
