A birth certificate has not been found for John Robert Leyva. There is conflicting information on birthdate: his World War II draft registration gives a birth date of June 24, 1880. The death certificate gives June 24, 1870. Based on his stated age in the census records he was born in 1880 (1920 census), 1884 (1930 census), or 1876 (1940 census).
His father’s name is subject to doubt. It is stated to be John in the death certificate, but the informant (believed to be his son) did not know his mother’s name, which casts doubt.
No census records were found for a John Leyva, son of John Leyva. There are other John Leyva’s in the census, but presently none can be identified as John Robert Leyva.
He had a wife, Elizabeth Miller, but a marriage record has not been found in California. The wife is believed to be Elizabeth Rosalind Miller. She has been sometimes identified as Elizabeth Isabella Miller, but this may be a confounding of two people with similar names.
Several children are identified in the 1920, 1930, and 1940 California census.
John Robert was born in 1869. He passed away in 1959.

It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
John Leyva, supposed father of John Robert Leyva, as given in the death certificate, is most likely an error, and even more likely does not exist. consequently he is removed as father.
Leyva-62 and Leyva-58 are not ready to be merged because: they are intended to be the same person, but the queries need to be resolved with their linked family profiles (duplicates)
Leyva-62 and Leyva-58 appear to represent the same person because: These were created, inadvertently, as duplicates. The incorrect father of JohnRobert Leyva, ie John Leyva, has been disconnected.
