Gertrude Isabel "Belle" LIDDICOAT was born in 1892 at Alford on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, the first child of Robert Liddicoat and Isabella Hutchings [1]

She signed her name spelt Gertude Isabel and the spelling is recorded in many different ways. She was known as Belle to her family.
