Erik was born in 1868. He was the son of Jonas Lie and Thomasine Lie. He was baptized 25 March 1869 at Trefoldighet Menighet, Oslo.[1]
Erik was a writer in both fiction and nonfiction. He was also credited with being the founder of the Norwegian Authors' Union in 1993. From 1901 to 1905, he was a librarian at the Bibliotheque Nordique in Paris.[2]
He died in 1943.
