Bernardo Liggio is born and baptized on 17 August 1819, the son of Giuseppe Liggio and Salvatrice Oliveri. His godparents are Don Francesco and Donna Maria Rosa Oddo, son and mother.[1]
Bernardo marries at least once and possibly twice. His first marriage is to Rosa Vasi, daughter of the late Pietro and Francesca Sciambra, and the widow of Antonino Aprile, on 20 March 1859. Bernardo's parents have both died by this time.[2]
According to the record of his death, he marries a second time, to Rosa Oliveri, at an unknown date. She predeceases him.
Open issue: This record does not mention his first wife, Rosa Vasi. It is possible that the death record gets Rosa's last name wrong. Bernardo's mother's last name is also Oliveri. No children have been found of Bernardo Liggio with Rosa Oliveri. Children with Rosa Vasi would be beyond the scope of my research at this time. Cascio-10 20:22, 19 September 2014 (EDT)
Bernardo dies of typhoid at age 64 (b. 1819) on 25 March 1883. According to the Church record, he is the widower of Rosa Oliveri. Bernardo dies in the hospital, in communion with the Church.[3]
