Biography

Henry Bannister Lightfoot was born on the 3rd of April, 1836 in Allen County, Kentucky. Henry was the son of Henry Jarrett Lightfoot and Barbara Lambert.

Henry B., age 14, appears in the 1850 Federal census in the household of his father, Henry J. Lightfoot, in Simpson County, Kentucky.[1]

Henry, age 25, appears in the 1860 Federal census in the household of his father, Henry J. Lightfoot, in Polk County, Missouri.[2]

Henry married Nancy Jane Fisher sometime before 1865. No marriage record has been located.

Henry appears in the 1870 Federal census in Polk County, Missouri. Henry B. Lightfoot's household appears as follows: Henry B., age 33; Nancy J., age 30; Ella E., age 5; James R., age 3; and William H., age 1.[3]

Henry appears in the 1880 Federal census in Polk County, Missouri.[4]

Henry appears in the 1900 Federal census in Polk County, Missouri. [5]

Henry died on the 12th of April, 1910 in Polk County, Missouri.[6] NOTE: Henry's tombstone gives his date of death as 12th JUNE 1910. Henry's Missouri death certificate gives his date of death as 12th April, 1910, and the cause of death as Lobar Pneumonia listed as being 13 days in duration. The death certificate was signed by Jas. A. Lyttle MD. Henry was buried in the Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Polk County, Missouri, USA.[7]
