Lewis Lightfoot was born about 1727, in Virginia. He was the son of Phillip Lightfoot and Mary Armistead. He died about 1748 in Virginia.

Philip Lightfoot, of Yorktown and of "Sandy Point," Charles City county, was born in 1689 and "married Mary, daughter of William Armistead, and widow of James Burwell."[1]
Note - An article about the Lightfoots does not list a son Lewis for Philip (b 1689). The same article shows a Phlip who married a Mary Lewis (with a son, Dr. Philip Lewis Lightfoot). Research is underway.[2]

there's mention of a Philip and sons, Lewis and brother John, page 70 in R.T. Green's Genealogical and Historical Notes on Culpeper County, Virginia (1900): "There is a family of Lightfoots at Port Royal, Caroline, represented by the late Philip Lightfoot and his sons, Lewis Lightfoot and his brother John." (but no indication of which Philip Lightfoot, or even which century)

Lightfoot-262 and Lightfoot-1124 appear to represent the same person because: Hi! I was looking for duplicate Lightfoot profiles and found this orphaned one (Lightfoot-262). I could find no record that Philip (father of Philip) had a son Lewis, but did find that his son Philip had a Lewis attached as son (Lightfoot-1124). Please merge. Thanks!
