William was born in 1744. On dec. 27, 1784, he married Frances Moseley. They were both underage at the time of the marriage. The couple had two children, William Jr and a girl believed to be named Sarah.
When William died in 1765, his wife was still underage. His children were then given into the care of their grandfather, Richard Ligon.
