Biography

Domenico Ligotino is a Corleone native resident, the son of Giovanni and Onofria Ligutino. (The spelling of the surname standardizes on "Ligotino" by the late 19th century but is at this time most often spelled with a "u.") His mother's surname is not yet known. I estimate Domenico is born around 1658, twenty years before he marries.

Domenico marries Antonia d'Alicata on 8 February 1678. His father has died by this time.

Domenico and Antonia have four known children: Giovanna (c. 1681), Giuseppe (c. 1691), Giovanni (c. 1694), and Salvatore (c. 1699).
