Biography
Charles Lilley was born at Fiskerton in Lincolnshire about 1866, son of farm labourer Thomas Lilly and his wife, Mary Ann. [1]
In 1911 Charles, and his son, Cyril, were labouring in the docks in Grimsby. [2]
Aged 52 Charles joined up for the First World War. He was 5ft 6.5 inches tall with a 43 inch chest. His home address at the time was 11 Melville St., Lincoln.
