Biography

Elizabeth was the daughter of David Seily (from death record) (Lilly from kids birth records) and Catherine Mountz.

Elizabeth married George Fuller Evarts (1837 - 1922). They had four known children:

  1. Cora E Evarts (1863 - 1920)
  2. Clinton Evarts
  3. Judd L Evarts (1868 - 1949)
  4. Frank Evarts

Elizabeth passed away in 1931. She is buried at West Lawn Cemetery, Glidden, Carroll County, Iowa, USA.


OBITUARY:

January 27, 1931 - Carroll Daily Herald - Glidden Jan. 27 — Mrs. Elizabeth Evarts died Sunday at 1 o'clock in her home here. Her death was attributed to heart trouble.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock in the home and will be conducted by the Rev. William D. Jones, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery.
Mrs. Evarts was born in Northumberland county Penn., April 18, 1839 and was 92 years old at the time of her death. Mr. Evarts died 11 years ago.
She is survived by three sons, Clinton Evarts, Judd Evarts, and Frank Evarts and two grandchildren, Miss Ruth and Miss Pauline Evarts, all residents of Glidden. Mrs. Evarts had been a resident of Carroll county for 48 years, coming here from Pennsylvania.

According to the 1880 US Census for Flagg, Ogle, Illinois, Elizabeth (Unknown) Everetts was born in Pennsylvania about 1839. She passed away after 1880.
