Biography

Sergeant Seth Lincoln served with Suffolk County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Seth Lincoln is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A070462.

Seth Lincoln was the fourth child of Samuel Lincoln and Mary Bates born on Apr. 27, 1751 in Hingham, Massachusetts.^[1]

First he married Mary Fearing, daughter of Elijah Fearing and Deborah Leavitt, on Oct. 6, 1774. Mary was born in Hingham on Feb. 7, 1749/50 and died Apr. 23, 1815, at 65 years.^[1]

Served with Col Solomon Lovell Lovell-1193 Suffolk County Militia

He married secondly on Dec. 21, 1818 Mrs. Chloe (Whiton) Fearing, widow of Elijah Fearing and daughter of Jacob Whiton and Elizabeth Marble. Chloe died on June 2, 1827 at 59 years.^[1]

Seth died March 6, 1839 at 88th years. Seth was a tanner by trade and was the town constable in 1787. The family resided on North Street near Hobart's Bridge in Hingham. The children all by Mary were born in Hingham. ^[1]
