Mary Ann Lincoln was born on 21 June 1872 at Gulgong, New South Wales. She is the daughter of George Lincoln and Elizabeth Begg.^[1]

On 28 September 1893, Mary married James Vivian Murphy at Gulgong, New South Wales.^[2]

Mary and James had nine children:

• Annie Murphy (1900 - 1968);

• William Murphy (? - 1972).

Mary passed away on 13 April 1956 at Burwood, New South Wales.^[3] Mary is buried with her husband at Boggabri General Cemetery, Boggabri, New South Wales.^[4]
