Florence was born in 1908. She was the daughter of Roy Lincoln and Agnes Bowman. She passed away in 1994.

Obituary

Florence H White

Former local resident, Florence H White, 86, of North Bend, Oregon died September 28, 1994.

She was born September 25, 1908, in Fox, Oregon, then travele with her family to Golden, Oregon by covered wagon and barge down the Columbia River. She attended school in Blachley, Oregon, and in 1927, she and Bill Peck were married in Blachley. They raised eight children in the Willamette Valley and were later divorced.

In 1952, she married Fred White and they ived in Southern California for four years. In 1956, they came to Washington, living about 25 - 30 years in Longview and Castle Rock while Mr White worked for Weyerhaeuser Company. Upon his retirement, they moved to Ocean Park, then to North Bend two years ago.

Mrs White, a Horticulturist, worked many years for a bulb farm in Woodland. The White's also ran a dairy in Castle Rock.

Favorite hobbies were fishing, flower gardening and clam digging.

Survivors include her husband, Fred, at home, five daughters, Wanda Marques of Kennewick, Washington, Elsie Hole of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, Peggy Lewis of Brookings, Oregon, Flo Garrett of North Bend, Oregon, and Mary Applebee of Ontario, Oregon, two sons, Ralph Peck of Eugene, Oregon and Earl Peck of North Bend, Oregon, a sister, Mary Jensen of Brookings, Oregon, a brother, Lloyd Lincoln of Montgomery, Alabama, 27 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sons, Stanley Peck and Roy Peck.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm Friday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Kelso, Washington.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Musgrove Famiy Mortuary of Eugene is in charge.
