Mary was a Friend (Quaker)

Mary Lindley Woody was born 4 November 1717 in London Grove, New Garden, Chester, Pennsylvania of James Lindley and Eleanor Parke of County Carlow, Ireland

On 27 December 1738 at St. George Parish, Baltimore, Maryland Colony she married John Woody II. Mary was disowned by the Quakers for marrying out of unity,

Mary Lindley is the only wife of John Woody. There was another John who married Mary Gowan. In Orange CO NC John and Mary lived in adjoining property to Thomas Lindley brother of Mary.

I believe the correct birth date is November 4, 1717 (corrected for Quaker dating system, in which March was the first month of the year at that time - 4th day of the 9th month, according to the Quaker records of James' family)
