Notes: In the name of God Amen:
I William Lindley of the County of Franklin and State of Tennessee being weak of body but sound in mind doth make & ordain this my last will and Testament that is to say first, I will that out of my Estate my four wards Michael, Robert, Jane & Obediah Archer be paid the sum of $101.25 as soon as it can be raised out of my Estate to be paid into the hands of their future Guardian for their use till they severally come of age or as quick as the money can be collected from ?Canader? And secondly I will that the balance of my Estate be sold to the highest bidder and when the family gets out to Indiana Territory, and then be equally divided betwixt my children that is to say William first, Alijah [Elijah], Alisha [Elisha], John, Sally & Jacob & wife Martha have an equal part with my children above named. It is to be observed that William is to have his part as soon as it is collected and further I do hereby nominate & appoint and constitute my son John Lindley Sole Executor of this my Estate last will and Testament Etc. Revoking all other wills made by
