Norm ~ We're going to be working on some of the space page used as template errors this week. This is just an FYI to let you know, you have some of these profiles. We'll be replacing the template with a formatted and linked source, it really shouldn't measurably change how the profile looks. I realize the templates were put there probably before it was decided they shouldn't be used that way, we're just looking to help get the suggestion list down. Thanks!

Norm Lindquist thank you for the information on my Great Grandmother Selma Ohlsen. You said you could add that information to her profile. If you could that would be great. John Sherman

Deserves a private repeat "thank you" but others need to know how well-deserving accolades can't begin to express the gratitude I have for his work on a fringe Swedish relative connection - Cathrina Wilhelmina Runberg. It took me so long to get back to this one - he deserves to be thanked again. He bridged the gap in providing a direct link to Swedish Record source that I didn't understand to be free for wikitree enthusiasts: and for whatever reasons, lots that I could not do before are now "doable". I can finally see a light of encouragement for my very delayed progress. THANK YOU Norm.

Thank you for pointing out that Pettit-1527 and Pettit-1528 were the same. I am not even sure how I managed to add them in like that. It was greatly appreciated that you found the duplication.

Captain Joshua Upham Slocum aka Slocombe ( Top of the biography is a Canadian flag with the notation that he is managed by the Canadian project. Beginning of the second paragraph says he was born in Nova Scotia. I think he was born in Canada.

Sorry Norm, not sure which Conway profile you refer to. Usually just looking for publicly accessible sources on profiles, like Family Search BMD or census data with links. Thx!

it was Fernqvist-3 that you modified. Curious to know how you got to that? SVAR may be free but do not have the same quality and facilities as AD. True that I have not always mentioned AD, but most most people in Sweden researching use AD because of the superior quality. The result is that we assume everybody knows.

Also, I think it is not correct to remove somebody's references when they are perfectly valid. You can add what you like if it is relevant, but I maintain that then one should ask the PM first. If he does not answer in a reasonable time, then you can go ahead

Seeing as there must be hundreds of thousands of AD references on wikitree, I don't think it would a great policy to start replacing them with SVAR, even if it is free. It seems to me that efforts are better used in genealogy instead.

Best regards Gunnar

Hi Norm,

I do not appreciate you replacing my AD references with SVAR references on a profile I manage. I work almost exclusively with AD and will continue to do so.

It would have been polite to ask my opinion before changing things

Best regards
