Biography
Charles Lindsay was born in Scotland.
Charles Craigie Lindsay was born on April 13, 1848 to John C. Lindsay (age 47) and Amelia Ronaldson Lindsay (age 26) and Christened on May 7, 1848[1].
In 1850, Charles' sister Janet was born.
In 1851 Charles brother George came into the family.
In 1852, Charles' second sister, Margaret Burt was born.
Then in 1855, Amelia Ronaldson was born.
In 1858, another brother, John was born.
In 1873, Charles (age 25), married Mary Jane Lucy Smith (age 27).
In 1874, Charles and Mary gave birth to their first daughter Amelia Jane Lindsay.
Then in 1875, they gave birth to their first son, Kenneth J.
In 1877, Elizabeth was born into the family but she passed away in 1878.
On January 9, 1879, Charles Craigie Lindsay Jr. was born. That same year Kenneth J. passed away.
In June of 1881, Jessie J. was born.
On March 21, 1886, Charles' mother Amelia died.
Eight days later, Harry Smith Lindsay was born.
On January 3, 1889, Charles and Mary gave birth to William Robert Lindsay.
In October, 1890, Bertram W. and James Herbert Lindsay were born.
In the early 1900's Charles Craigie Lindsay worked as an Engineer at a Piano Factory. By 1920 Charles was unemployed.
On November 7, 1908, Charles and Mary's daughter Amelia (age 30) married Anthony Elroy Anderson (age 25) in Boston, Massachusetts[2].
On June 10, 1915, Charles and Mary's son William (age 26) married Esther Charlotte Theline (age 21) in Brockton, Massachusetts[3].
