Marshall E. Lindsay died Monday, November 5, 1945 at his home, 41 1/2 Liberty street, Westminster, aged 78 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Lindsay and was formerly of Havre de Grace, removing to Westminster 18 years ago.
He was superintendent and engineer for the Maryland Waterworks company at Havre de Grace for 27 years and served for six years in a similar capacity at the Westminster branch until he was retired.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Naill Lindsay, and three children as follows: Mrs. Karl Kuldell, Washington, D. C; Roger Lindsay, Westminster, and Lester Lindsay. Havre de Grace; also eight grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Walter Barnes, New Windsor, and two brothers, Guy Lindsay, Hagerstown, and David Lindsay, New Windsor.
Services were held at the H. Bankard 4 Son funeral home Thursday at 2-p. m., and burial was in the Bethel Methodist church cemetery, near New Windsor. The Rev. John Ensor officiated. The pallbearers were Lindsay, Louis and Joseph Shaffer, Wilbur Naill, Boyd Owings and George Allen.
