Biography
The daughter of Charles Lindsley and Adah (Osborn) Lindsley, Lucille Lindsley was born in Hartford Township, Michigan in 1905,[1] residing there with her family.[2] By 1920, Lucy and her family lived in Arlington Township, Michigan, while her father farmed grain.[3] In 1930, Lucy lived in Holland, Michigan, boarding with William and Agnes Hoek and their family and working as a public school teacher.[4]
Lucille married Edward Franklin Donivan, the son of Dennis Donivan and Minerva J. Martin, marrying in Holland, Michigan on August 22, 1936.[citation needed] and making their home in Holland Township Michigan. Iin 1940, both each Lucy and her taught school, Edward as a vocational teacher and Lucy as a speech teacher.[5] By 1950, Lucy worked in the school system as a librarian.[6]
Widowed in 1981,[7] Lucille Donivan passed away in Holland, Michigan[8] at the age of 94and is buried at Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, Michigan.[9]
