Nils Olof Lindström was the son of worker Gustaf Mauritz Lindström and his wife Karin Ersdotter. He was born in Järvsö in October 1907 (about six weeks before his parents married).[1]
He lived with his parents in Ljusdal until March 1927, when he left home to go to North America.[2] He left a pregnant girlfriend behind.
On the passenger list he is registered as a blacksmith. He was going to his friend Martin Sahlin in Chicago.[3]
He died in 1979 and is buried at Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA[5]
However, his death was registered in Chicago, Illinois. At the time of his death he was divorced. The informant on his death certificate was William Lindstrom, presumably a son.[6]
