Josiah Ling was born on November 22, 1848, in Shade Township, Somerset, Pennsylvania.[1]He was the son of Joseph Ling and Sarah Specht.[2]
He died on June 1-, 1862, in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He is buried in the Shade Lutheran Church Cemetery, Central City, Somerset, Pennsylvania.[3]
