Richard was born in 1955. He was the son of Richard Ling and Rosemary Walker. He passed away in 2009.

LING - Richard "Rick" Val, 54, Morrisdale, died Sat., Dec. 12, 2009, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 30, 1955, in Johnstown, son of Richard S. Ling Jr. and Rosemary B. (Walker) Ling, Johnstown. Mr. Ling was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Morrisdale. He was a 1973 graduate of Richland High School, Johnstown. He graduated from both Mount Aloysius College and then from the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed by Houtzdale Hardware and a member of the Pennsylvania Builders Association. He also was a member of the Lincoln Club, Hawk Run. He married Yvonne (Miller) Ling on Nov. 24, 1979, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Johnstown. Survived by wife, Morrisdale; sons, Ryan R. Ling and Chad T. Ling, both Morrisdale; sisters-in-law, Annette Horner and Paulette Sapoch, Bethlehem, and Cynthia Miller, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Clifford Miller, Johnstown; aunts, June Walker and Ruth Walker Neisner, who also was his godmother, Johnstown; Laverne Ling, Seville, Ohio; and Patricia Ling, Phoenix, Ariz. Predeceased by father. Burial, St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Morrisdale. Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, 171 Deer Creek Road, Morrisdale.
