Biography

Peter was born in 1799 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Peter Ling and Elizabeth Reighard. ^[1]

He married Dorcas Rupell (Russel) on 21 April 1826 in Coshocton, Ohio.^[2]

He passed away on 28 January 1882 in Coshocton, Ohio. He is buried in the Keene Old Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Coschocton, Ohio.^[3]

About 1787 he married Elizabeth Reighard. 16 May 1793- Bedford Co. Warrant Book; Peter Ling applied for 40 acres in Bedford Twp. Survey returned for 51.80 acres in pursuance of warrant #156 dated 16 May 1793. He is listed in the 1800 Census of Bedford Twp., Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. He is mentioned in the will of Anthony Ling (his father) dated 7 August 1803. 25 May 1803 - Will of William Scovil, Beford Twp., PA witnessed by Peter Ling Beford Twp.
