On May 7, 1884 in Hants County, Nova Scotia, Mary Jane Lingard aged 23 married John McLellan aged 25 in Tennycape by Presbyterian Lisence, with the Reverend E. Thorpe officiating.
Sometime around 1894 the family moved to Kaslo, British Columbia where her husband John took up mining. They made their life there.
She died October 11, 1937 at the age of 77 years in Kaslo, British Columbia.
