[1]I was born and raised in Water Valley, MS. I am married with young twin sons who keep me busy. My maternal Grandmother is from Grand Forks North Dakota (I am Haplogroup X2b6). My maternal Grandfather is from Water Valley, MS. My paternal Grandfather was from Catawba County, North Carolina. My paternal Grandmother was from Kentucky. I started looking into my genealogy because I grew up knowing nothing about my father's family. His parents died when he was young, and his father had been cut off from his family so we had no contact with them. Now I am interested in all areas of my family history. I am hoping to continue to discover more about where my family came from. I have had my DNA tested, and I am in the process of getting more detailed DNA tests done on my father and maternal grandfather.
