Biography

Jacob married Catharine Rudisill on 15 June 1789 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.[1]

Jacob Link Sr. is buried at Henry W. Link Cemetery, Long View, present-day Catawba County, North Carolina.[2] According to his great-grandson Edward J. Houck, Jacob Link, husband of Katherine Rudisill, is buried in this cemetery. E. J. remembered visiting the cemetery with his father and at one time there was a marker. The exact location of the grave is not remembered. The cemetery was originally called the Link Cemetery, with no designation for any specific descendant. (sources: the late Edward J. Houck; the late John Link, both direct descendants).

Peter Hoyle was appointed administrator of Jacob Link's estate and executed his administration bond on 16 January 1815.[3]

Deleted the alleged daughter Elizabeth Link Triplett. She is not named in Jacob Link's 1815 estate and her alleged birth year conflicts with other children of Jacob Link.
