Biography

Edna was born about 1913. She is the daughter of John Link and Frances Vanorman.

COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 07/16/2003 Edna R. "NaNa" Murphy, 90, of Fairdale, entered eternal life on Monday, July 14, 2003, at Caritas Medical Center. She was the former Edna Link and a member of Valley View Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Murphy Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Frances E. Armstrong, Beulah M. Paulley, Mary L. Sanders and Ella Mae Schmittler; her sons, James "Buddy," Joseph B. Jr. and Shelby L. Murphy; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a family friend, Mae Risinger. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Wednesday.
