In 1871 James Link (age 13, Scholar) lived in Ashford, Kent with his father Daniel (50, Painter), mother Mary Ann (48), and four siblings: Daniel Charles (23, Painter), Mary Ann (19, Servant), John (16, Labourer), and Martha Elizth (10, Scholar).[3]
In 1881 James Link (age 23, Stable Helper) lived at Apsley St in Ashford with his father Daniel (60, Painter), mother Mary Ann (58), sister Martha E (20, Millener), and niece Eliza Link (5, Scholar).[4]
In 1891 James Link (age 34, Stableman) lived at the Coach & Horses Inn on Hempstead Street in Ashford.[5]
James Link passed away in 1928, aged 70 years. His death was registered in East Ashford in the last quarter of the year.[6]
