BERT G. LINN, son of Margarett J. (Work) and Samuel J. Linn, married Blanche Fortney, Aug. 16, 1916. She was born Aug. 16, 1892. She is a graduate of the Fairmont State Normal School. Bert G. Linn served six years in the Standing Army of the United States. Bert G. and Blanche (Fortney) Linn have one child, Mary Margarett, born Aug. 13, 1919. Bert G. Linn was deeply interested, and active in the organization of the Linn Family Association, and was its first president, serving until his death which occurred on :Mar. 22, 1930, at his home in Fairmont, W. Va. He was 48 years of age. For a number of years Bert Linn had conducted a confectionery stand in the Virginia Theater, and at the time of his death was acting manager of the Virginia theater. He was of a kindly, congenial nature and was well liked by all who knew him. He made friends with all whom he met. Bert will be missed by the Linn Family Association at their yearly reunions, as he was one of the most active workers in promoting and maintaining the association. He was a member of the Fairmont Lodge, B. P. O. Elks, and was buried with military honors and the ritual of the B. P. O. Elks.
