Linscott has become the Administrator of the estate and that he feels there will not be sufficient funds to pay all of the debts owed by David. He declares the deceased insolvent. On the first Tuesday of (3rd) February 1846, the Court authorizes the auction of items with the exception of such items that are needed for the allowance of the widow.

Footnotes

  1. Gowen, John's dates are a guess based on two known dates: 1) the Pension record for his widow because he served in the 1812 War and 2) the birth of their son.
  2. There's another David Linscott who fought for the Confederacy who was a Prisoner of War-not this one.
