Aside from the minimal information mentioned below which is from my notes back in the 1970's, I have not found source documentation. I have used the Familysearch.org search function for Ohio and North Carolina. I did run across some possible references to the father of the subject. I noted these in the profile for the father. However, the most likely source was an estate record which I don't seem to be able to read. Probably I am making some obvious error but I don't know what it is.
The family history of the Puckett's that I refer to under sources, was located in the Mesa AZ LDS family history library. As I have not resided in that area since about 1972, I have never had the opportunity to relook this history of the Puckett written by Sarelda Lightfoot. At this date I cannot say whether any of the cousins I interviewed in the 1970's actually knew Margaret Lynville Puckett if they simply knew of her.
My Heritage wants me to login and (of course) pay to see some information that appears to be on the geni.com site. The bait information provided is: Margaret Sarah Puckett (born Linville), birth ca 1790, death ca 1860, child Mary, Sibling John Linville. The email claims they have POB, POD, parents’ names, Husband’s name, names of eleven more children, and 9 more siblings.
