Biography

Richard Linville, son of Thomas Linville and Hannah Morgan, was born about 1735 in Rockingham, Virginia. About 1747 his parents moved the family from Virginia to North Carolina.

Richard married Mary before 1769 in North Carolina. To this union were born at least eight children; Moses, David, Unknown female, Richard, John, Robert, Lydia and Charity.

Richard passed away sometime in 1821 before his probate in Stokes, North Carolina.[1]
