Samuel was born on the 12th day of the 7th month (1675) in Shrewsbury, Monmouth, New Jersey.^[1] Samuel's parents were Restore Lippincott (1653 – 1741) and Hannah Shattuck (1654 – 1709).

Samuel married Anna Hulitt (or Hulet) (1675 – 1748) on 3 Jul 1700 in Monmouth, New Jersey.^[2]
