Biography

Martha was a Friend (Quaker)

Martha Lippincott was born with a calculated birth date of 1719 to Samuel Lippincott and Hope Wills. [1]

Marriage and Children

Martha married Joseph White, son of William White of Bucks County, PA on 1st mo. 20th da., 1739 (old Style) at the Evesham Meeting House (Mount Laurel, Burlington Co.), Under Care of Haddonfield Monthly Meeting. [2]

The Evesham Meeting House is now located in Mount Laurel due to subsequent border changes in the townships.

Martha and Joseph had the following children:

  1. Sarah White b 22 December 1740; m John Gillingham[1]
  2. Samuel White b 6 October 1742; m Hannah Rickey[1]
  3. Martha White b 8 April 1745; m Benjamin Kinsey[1]

Certificate of Removal

9th day, 4th mo. (June) 1740 - Martha received a certificate of removal in good standing from Haddonfield Monthly Meeting, New Jersey to the Falls Monthly Meeting, Pennsylvania. [3]

Death

Martha White passed away on 27 day, 9 mo. 1746, Bucks County, Pennsylvania[4]
