Edith died in Hopewell Junction, New York on 22 December 1968. She was buried in the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. [3]
Edith was born in New York City to Chris and Louisa Lippoth. She married William J. Olmstead on 8 November, 1911. William died on 16 January, 1953. Edith moved to Dutchess County in 1953. She was a member of St. Columba Church.
She was survived by a daughter, Edith Brann of Hopewell Junction, and a son William L. Olmstead. She was further survived by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.[4]
