This profile is proof that you cant always trust a family tree, sometimes people get their dates wrong. Biography
Johannes “John” Lipps was born February 22, 1721 in Soest, Whestfalen, Germany, the son of Diederich Lipps. He married after 1750 to Elizabeth Holderman/Holmes in North Carolina. John died August 8, 1782 at Wilkes County, North Carolina, United States.
Immigration
Came to U.S. 1750 aboard the Phoenix and landed in Philadelphia.
