Marie Louïse, the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Lirette and Marie Barbeau, was born 28 March 1764 and baptized the following day. The Notre Dame de Montréal parish records identify her as "Marie Louïse née d'hier environ treize heures [---?] du soir fille legitime de Jean Baptiste Lirets et de Marie Barbeau Le parraine a été Joseph Dupuis et la marraine Cesaire [----? ----?] épouse de Champagne."[1]
She married Joseph Savoie on 7 October 1793, Lanoraie, Bas-Canada. Parish records for that year are missing; however PRDH confirms the marriage as well as four children--Marguerite (1799), Joseph (1801), Elisabeth (1803), and Jean Baptiste (1807).[2][3]
She passed away 23 July 1843 and was buried the following day at St-Charles-Borromée, Joliette: "Marie Louise Lirette [Vve] Savoie décédée hier âgée de quatre vingt cinq ans."[4]
