Ruth married Devear VanLeuven Kendall (born on June 25, 1904 in Cambridge, Bannock). Their children were:

• Dorothy Ruth Kendall (1924–1972)
• Richard Allen Kendall (1930–2008)

Ruth died on October 6, 1993 in Vallejo, Solano, California, United States, aged 84.^[1]
