Biography

G.E. Little was my gr gr grandfather. His parents (confirmed by Pitt co., NC and Hall Co, GA records) were Etheldred Little of Pitt Co., NC and Elizabeth "Betsy" Moye who after Etheldred's death married Thomas Warren Norris (records list him as Warren Norris) of Hall Co., GA. Other children Of Etheldred and Elizabeth were Thomas Napolean Little, Nancy (m. Willis Cannon), Lydia (m. Willis Cannon). Much of the Little family moved from Hall Co., GA to the Kingston (Madison Co.), AR area and some from Kingston, AR moved to Paden (Okfuskee Co.) and Seminole (Pott Co.), OK areas, on to AZ and CA.

Some records have his name spelled Grey and some family genealogists show Gray Eagon. I talked by telephone to his granddaughter, Nancy (LITTLE) GREEN before she died at the age of 99 years and she told me that she remembered her grandfather and that after his wife, Nancy (STYLES), died and was buried near Kingston, AR G.E. did not take care of himself and she and her father, Thomas Redman Little (my gr grandfather) took a "buck board" to AR and got him and brought him back to near Paden/Prague, OK and he died there. He was buried in Prague Cemetery under the initials G.E. I was told because he was Cherokee and if known he was Native American Indian they would not have allowed him to be buried there. There are many in the family now doing genealogy. Happy to connect with others in the family.
