Thank you for your message. To my knowledge, the only member of my husband's Ford family to emigrate from England to the US was Alfred Bernard Ford (1860-1919) . He had children but I haven't researched them.

Hello, James!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi James, I too have both Little and Jam?son ancestors. Mine came to the US from County Down, Ireland in 1856. You could begin seeing info on them at the wikitree profile for David Little (Little-1721).

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

You will find it and WikiTree's other interesting projects by using the FIND link top right of most WikiTree pages, select PROJECTS from the drop down box. WikiTree's DNA project has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

I believe everyone should have an opportunity to research family history whether they have any money or not. There was a time that I didn't have enough money to join other genealogist sites and it is very frustrating to say the least. I think that everyone who does the research should have the recognition and should be courteous in doing so. I would love to help to grow our family tree.
