Biography

Micarjah was born in 1800 in Maine. He was the son of Jonathan Littlefield and Lydia Houston.[1][2][3]

Micajah married Malinda Crosby Merrill.[4][5]

On 25 April, 1838, a Universalist Church was organized in Minot, Maine and Micaajah was one of the first 22 members.[6]

On the 1840 U.S. census, Micajah was living in Minot, Maine with his family[7]

On the 1850 U.S. Census for Auburn, Maine, Micajah was 50 yrs. old & a farmer. His wife, Melinda C. was 44 yrs. old. Their children at home were Augustus L. 18 yrs. old, Julia 14 yrs. old, Albion R. 11 yrs. old, Rhoena M. 9 yrs. old, & Ellen J. 4 yrs, old,[8]

On the 1860 U.S. Census for Auburn, Androscoggin, Maine, Micajah was 60 yrs. old and still a farmer. His wife Malinda was 54 yrs. old. Their children at home were: Albion 21 yrs. old, & Ellen 14 yrs. old, Their married daughter, Julia Small, 24 yrs. old, & her husband, Willard Small (a book seller) 29 yrs. old, & their daughter Lizza C. Small 4 yrs. old were living with them.[9]

Micajah Littlefield died on 14 Sep 1867 & is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, Androscoggin, Maine.[10]
