Julie was born in January 1870 in Madison County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Littrell and Nancy A Bear. She passed away in January 1953 in Vinita, Craig County, Oklahoma and is buried in White Rose Cemetery, Bartlesville, Washington County, Oklahoma.^[1]

Julie married Grant T. Gage on 10 October 1885 in Madison County, Arkansas.^{[citation needed]}

In 1940 Grant and Julia were living with their son, Frank J. Gage, in Jackson Township, Washington County, Arkansas. 1^[2]
