Von_Lothringen-8 is possible son per Wikidata - needs research
posted by Traci Thiessen
Von_Lothringen-8 and Metz-709 seem to be the same person, indeed a son of Oda and Gerhard. However, both LNAB are incorrect. He belonged (as his father) to the family of the Matfriedinger and is known in the German literature as Gottfried von Jülich as he originally was Graf im Jülichgau. He was at some later point for an undetermined time Pfalzgraf von Lothringen. (Hlawitschka, Eduard: Die Anfänge des Hauses Habsburg-Lothringen. Genealogische Studien zur Geschichte Lothringens und des Reiches im 9.,10. und 11. Jahrhundert, Saarbrücken 1969)

Thank you Helmut. I changed the LNAB on Von_Lothringen-8 and the new profile is Matfriedinger-1, then I proposed a merge with Metz-709. Shall I change the LNAB on Gerhard's profile (Metz-142) to Matfriedinger as well?

I would for consistency sake if nothing else.

Van Sachsen-1 and Liudolfing-15 appear to represent the same person because: Obviously the same person

Sachsen-68 and Sachsen-40 appear to represent the same person because: Near duplicate names and dates, duplicate husband, and had duplicate mothers who have been merged.
Empire-8 and Sachsen-40 appear to represent the same person because: same name, birth, location, child
