Biography

Mary was born about 1745 the daughter of Ezra Livermore and Mary (Sach) Livermore.

Mary married John Boosey on the 24th September 1765 at St Leonards, Streatham, Lambeth, Surrey.

The marriage register reads: Banns of marriage John Boosey of the parish of St Luke's Old Street London and Mary Livermore of this parish were published on the 8th, 15th, and 22nd of September 1765 by me James Jackson. John Boosey of the parish of St Luke's Old Street London, Batchelor and Mary Livermore of this parish spinster were married by Banns this twentyfourth day of September one thousand seven hundred and sixty five. Signed by John Boosey and Mary Livermore in presence of John Snell, Margaret Sach and Richard Hadgrun.[1]

Their marriage is listed on London Sandemanian Marriages and other links between church members. There were about 70 marriages between the families of the London Sandemanians of which this was one.

The family lived in Old Buckenham a village in Norfolk where her husband was an elder in the Sandemanian Church.

Mary died aged about 26 in 1771 and was buried on the 11th November 1771 at Old Buckenham, Norfolk. The burial record described her as a married woman.[2]

Research notes

Further evidence that this is the correct marriage for John marrying Mary is the birth record of their grandson John Barnard although this does not confirm her surname.

There is a possible christening on 18 December 1735 of Mary of John and Mary Livermore at All Saints Edmonton but not sure why the family would be in this location.[3]
