Biography

Mary was born in 1895. She is the daughter of Ira Livingston and Alice Devore. ^[1]

In 1900, the family was living in Locust Grove Township, Fremont, Iowa.^[2] They were still there in 1910.^[3]

Mary married Paul Gruber in Fremont County, Iowa on 12 Sep 1916.^[4] They were still living in Fremont County in 1920.^[5] They had two children - Lois and Herald (Harold?). By 1930, the family had grown to five children: Lois, Harold, Virginia, Richard, and Carrol (son). Mary's husband, Paul, was a farmer.

By 1940, Lois had moved out but the rest of the family continued to reside in Locust Grove, Fremont County, Iowa.^[6]

Mary passed away in 1986.^[7]

She and her husband were mentioned in the obituary of their son, Harold Devore Or Lefty Gruber, in Iowa, United States, on 02 May 2007.^[8]
