Henry Walter John Livingston was born in Hobart on 25th March, 1868. His parents were Henry Livingston & Charlotte Letitia Ward. (1)
Henry married Florence Scull at Hobart on the 24th November, 1894. Henry was 26yo, Florence just 18yo. (2)
In 1916 Henry applied to join the Australian Imperial Forces and joined the 40th Infantry Battalion. He was nearly 49 years old when he joined to fight. In 1918 Henry was fighting in France when he received a gunshot would to the right of his chest. He was sent home and discharged the same year. (3)
On 23rd September 1921, Henry was awarded the British War Medal. On 6th October 1922, Henry was awarded the Victory Medal.

In 1916 Henry & his family were living at 60 Brisbane Street, Hobart.
By trade, according to his military application, Henry was a butcher.
In 1943 Henry and his wife were living at 53 Collins Street, Hobart. Henry was listed as a Gardener.
Henry passed away on the 26th January, 1947 at Hobart. He was buried a day later at the Australian Imperial Forces Arch at Cornelian Bay Cemetery. (4)
